Cracow Mine TSF2 Stage 3A Raise

The Cracow Mine TSF2 Stage 3A Raise consists of embankment construction with clay, rock and earth fill and associated access infrastructure summarised into the following scope:

- Heavy vehicle and light vehicle park-up areas
- Crib, office and ablution buildings
- Construction of temporary works including access roads, sediment controls, haul road and laydown / hardstand areas as required
- Establishment of stockpile and borrow areas required for works (soft rock borrow, excess soil stockpile)
- Relocation and extension of exisitng fence line
- Construction of a new Southern Diversion Drain south of the new Cell 4 Footprint
- Raise the existing Tailings Storage Facility 2 (TSF2) by 1m. The embankment is to be clay lined with a HDPE liner on the tailings side and rock lined on the outer face, with the bulk of fill material for construction being either rock fill supplied from the hard rock borrow or clay supplied from excavations or the on site clay borrow.
- Extend the existing decant ramp to suit the expanded TSF footprint and relocate the pumps and generators to suit.
- Relocate the existing tailings deposition pipeline to the new embankment crest and extend to suit
- Relocate the water return line to suit pumps and generators
- Construct one new basin in the new footprint, Basin Cell 4 is to be constructed primarily of clay, with general fill on the Southern Embankment.
- General fill material is to be borrowed from the diversion drain and Basin Cell 4 excavations
- Rock Fill, General Fill, Base Course, Wearing Course and Clay Fill shall be issued by the principal to the contractor. The contractor will be required to win and screen (soft rock only), load, haul, condition, place and compact these materials from the nominated hard rock quarry, soft rock quarry or otherwise from nominated borrow areas.
- Construct access roads on the embankment crest and the outer perimeter of the TSF.
